Terms of Use
Last updated: 1 de julio de 2026
By using Mediatok you accept these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. What Mediatok is
Mediatok is a platform to discover TV shows, rate them, review them, track what you've watched, create lists and take part in communities. The show catalog comes from TMDB.
2. Your account and minimum age
- You must be at least 14 years old to register. If your country's law requires a higher age to consent to data processing, that age prevails.
- You're responsible for your account's security and for the activity carried out through it.
- Provide truthful information and keep it up to date.
3. Acceptable use
By using Mediatok you agree not to:
- Impersonate other people or misrepresent your identity.
- Send spam, mass-scrape data, or try to bypass security.
- Use the service in ways that harm other users.
4. User content and licence
We call "user content" what you post on Mediatok: reviews, lists, community messages and the images you upload (your avatar and the avatar or banner of the communities you create). That content is yours and you're responsible for it.
When you upload images, you guarantee that they're your own or that you have the necessary rights and permissions to use them (including, where applicable, the image rights of any people shown) and that publishing them doesn't break the law or infringe third-party rights.
For Mediatok to work, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, host, resize and display your content within the service (for example, your avatar on your profile or the images of a community). This licence exists only to provide you the service and ends when you delete the content or your account, except for temporary technical copies or those we must keep due to a legal obligation. We don't use your images for any other purpose or transfer them to third parties for commercial purposes.
5. Prohibited content
You may not upload, post or link to content that:
- Is illegal or promotes unlawful activities.
- Is sexually explicit or pornographic, or child sexual abuse material (which we will also report to the authorities).
- Shows graphic or gratuitous violence or incites it.
- Incites hatred, discrimination or harassment based on race, origin, sex, orientation, religion, disability or other condition.
- Infringes third-party rights: intellectual property, trademarks or image rights (for example, photos that aren't yours or of people without their permission).
- Is spam, misleading, or unsolicited advertising.
- Impersonates another person, brand or organisation.
6. Moderation and reports
You can let us know about content that breaks these rules with the «Report» button next to user content, or by writing to us via Contact and content notices.
We may review, remove or restrict any content we consider to breach these terms or the law, and warn, suspend or remove the responsible accounts, proportionately. When reasonable, we'll inform the affected person of the reason.
7. Intellectual property
Show data (titles, images, synopses) belongs to TMDB and its respective rights holders; Mediatok only displays it through the TMDB API. Mediatok's brand and design belong to its owner.
8. TMDB attribution
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. More information in About.
9. Warranties and liability
Mediatok is provided "as is", without guarantees of availability or that the catalog is error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for damages arising from the use of the service or the unavailability of TMDB or other providers.
User content is the responsibility of whoever posts it, not Mediatok's. We don't pre-review all content and, to the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for content posted by users; we act on it once we have actual knowledge that it's unlawful or breaches these rules.
10. Suspension and account deletion
You can delete your account whenever you want; this removes your profile, your activity and any images you've uploaded. We may suspend or terminate access for breaches of these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts under applicable consumer law.
12. Changes
We may modify these terms. We'll publish the current version on this page with its update date.
