It's winter at Emmerdale Farm, and Annie Sugden finds herself thinking back to last summer. It was a busy time, with new land to work, and prospects looked bright. But there was a shock in store for all of them - especially Matt Skilbeck.

However, Joe discovers that Snip has been sleeping in Mick's barn and stopped another dog going for Dave's lambs - will he stop Matt in time? Meanwhile, Judy tries to give Richard some advice but Richard throws her out.
