A century into the war, the Ascenders aren't the only ones who are tired. Fighting three against two the Empire, even with all of its advantages, can only fight to a slow and bloody retreat as more of its border worlds are occupied. As Ascenders Matt, Liz, and Aster are working overtime to stem the tide, but even with their Ascender peers' Light and Shadow, they are barely keeping up. As their enemies finally make their own decisive move, that may no longer be the case.
